Password protecting folders with cPanel
Using the Password Protect Directories function in the cPanel will allow you to set user and different passwords on your folders.
Log in to your cpanel: domainname.com/cpanel. Scroll down to Password Protect Directories and click on the icon.
Once you have clicked on the folder icon, you will be given a list of folders in your public_html directory.
Select the directory you wish to limit access to. In the new page, please create a username and a password for your user. Select a name that will appear in the login screen and click on the Save button to activate the protection. |
