Restore a .tar.gz backup account from WHM
To restore a account that was created using "generate a full backup" option in WHM, we have to follow the steps
a) Go to cpanel of the account to be backup and restored.
b) Select "generate a full backup"
c) In the resulting page select "Backup to Remote FTP" and fill the ftp details of the server where we will restore the account.
d) After the backup is completed. Move the tar.gz file from the ftp accounts folder to /home folder
mv /home/account/*.tar.gz /home
e) Then go to WHM, select "Restore a Full Backup/cpmove file"
f) There you can see the list of possible restorable files. Enter the username of the account to be restores and select restore
