cpanel backup of a site:
* Login to cpanel-> Backups.
* Select "Generate / Download a Full Backup".
* Under "Generate/Download a Full Backup", select "Backup Destination"(for complete backup select "Home Directory").
* Give your email address in "Email Address:" textbox.
* Finally generate the backup.
After receiving the mail, download the generated backup either from cpanel or using ftp.
Note: Make sure that no previous backup is present in your site before taking backup. Because this will become a huge size if you geenrate the backup with the previous one. Hence always delete the previous backup and proceed with the above steps.
