Google To Update DMCA Algorithm Known as Piracy Update After 2 Years
Google on 2012 August introduced DMCA algo popularly known to be piracy update to depromote websites that receive large number of DMCA notifications on their contents. Google announced on last friday that it would update and release the new version of the algorithm in the upcoming week.
An improved DMCA demotion signal in Search. In August 2012 we first announced that we would downrank sites for which we received a large number of valid DMCA notices. We’ve now refined the signal in ways we expect to visibly affect the rankings of some of the most notorious sites. This update will roll out globally starting next week.
The result may highly impact the sites with valid DMCA notices.
